While mods such as these were common in previous Sims games, they're only now starting to surface for The Sims 4.Previously, things such as incest were indeed possible in The Sims 4.but only if the game glitched out (and even then, the 'feature' seemed to make people upset or grossed them out—which tells me that these new mods certainly won't be for everyone). Keep doing romantic actions untill it gives you the option to 'propose go steady' idrummerboy - 12 years ago 4 3. What you have to do to get passed romantic interest is to keep hitting on you lover, then you can propose going steady. Video5Star - 11 years ago 5 5. It depends on age (I think) if your character is a young adult for. The sims isn’t the most fun if your sims don’t have any friends or someone to share their life with! Sometimes working on these relationships can be a lot of work and have you inviting a sim over every single day just to stay friends. Once their married/best friends, Go to the sim which you want the other person to move Houses with. If the girls house is better, make the plumbob. diamond. on her head or vies versa ) Then click on the guy/other friend. It will say along with a bunch of other things: Ask to move in: 6 seconds. This mod works great with the MC Command Center. There a lot of tools in there that further enhance the teen pregnancy. If you are interested, you can download it here here. • I'm doing the legacy challenge. And I've struggled a little with relationships in Sims 4 (it took me a little over a sim week to get mine and hubby's simselves together and married and pregnant - and that's living together).
Well, now in my legacy challenge my sim met a guy and has been building the green relationship bar. We're about half way so I thought I'd do some romantic interactions... only to find out he's married already!
So, my question... can you split up relationships and marriages in Sims 4 like you could in Sims 3? Is it the same way 'Ask to break up'? I do not want to lose all the time I've invested in this sim and have to start over.

Rest easy - you can totally be that homewrecker you've always dreamed of for the low low cost of convo spamming to win his heart *nods*

  • yeah there's a Divorce option under the MEan social listing.
And it took a week? Took my guy 3 sims days to meet a random townie, smooze her, woo her and marry her.
Next day asperations wanted me to try for baby
  • Awesome! Thanks, both of you.
@Shalimar - I know! It's crazy. Most others aren't struggling, but for some reason I am. I'll get it figured out soon enough *I hope*.

I think the OP means is there an option to ask another sim to break up with their spouse, so that they can get married instead. I can't answer this myself because I've been waiting all day for the game to arrive (!!!!!!), but have you tried rotating to that household and manually splitting them up? From what I hear you can do this quite easily in TS4 and you won't lose anything in your current household. Unless of course he's a townie, then I don't know what to do

Yes, it can be done. It took a lot of courting on my Sim's part, though, because I guess the object of his affection had a really strong relationship with her spouse. Some time has passed and they've had their first child, but she sometimes still gets sad because of the divorce.
  • Do you think their could a compatibility issue with the two sims personality? Like opposing traits or something? Just a thought.

That's exactly what I meant. I hope your game arrives soon.
    Since it's a legacy challenge, I can't change households And I'm 99% sure he's a townie (not positive, though).

Great. I'll just keep pushing thru since I know it's possible. Thanks!

For mine and my hubby's simselves, I don't think it was incompatible traits. We both are family-oriented. I'm not too sure with my legacy girl. I don't see anything that would really stand out as incompatible, but I don't know all his traits yet. Of course, I'm not sure which traits would be considered incompatible at this point, so it very well could be.

  • If he's a townie, I think you can find him in the manage households option and move him into a house. I think. But I'm not positive. I may just be blowing smoke, but I'm not at home to check my information right now. :)
  • You just need to ask the sim to become your girlfriend/boyfriend first then under the romance options you should get Convince to leave Spouse .

What you could always do (if you cant split) is place one of your premade male sims in a empty lot and let her meet him. or cheat and take the married sim into cas and set him and his wife as room mates. ctrl+shift+c then testingcheats true and then shift click on him and mod in cas. change relationship (it should show his whole house) to room mate. i dont know the rules on your challenge but if thats all you can do then why not?

Note that this is an old thread and the OP already got her answer.
  • If you look under romance and hit convince to split couple up then they can get married

You can also ask the person to leave his/her spouse if married -- you'll end up with a relationship fully in the red with the ditched spouse, but that's the price you pay for play.

  • My sim's love interest has been 'seeing someone else'. Will the option still pop-up, or will do I just have to manually break them up by moving him in?

Yes you need to get their romantic relationship higher and your sim will have an option to ask them to leave their partner.

Actually, asking other sim to break up can be done at any relationship level. It is located under Mean category under Other sims... and requires Get Together expansion pack. If player doesn't own The Sims 4 Get Together, it is still possible by asking the sim to move in and then having him/her break up with other sim.
You can never discover The Sims games 100%. Even when you think you know everything, the game manages to surprise you.
That's why I do experiments in the game from time to time and tutorial videos on YouTube.
  • If I were you I would go to manage worlds, select your future husband's household, and make him divorce his wife. Or, if he lives with you, just make him invite his wife over and divorce her.
